Arboriculture (tree care)
Tree care operations comprise the planting, monitoring and maintenance of amenity trees.
Main tasks of project:
- To develop higher qualification level for Europe in Arboriculture – curriculum, examination and certification rules of European tree technician (ETT);
- Develop ETT examination test and curried out pilot examination;
- Develop ETT examination test and curried out pilot examination;
- To develop national standards in Arboriculture for Latvia, Denmark and Sweden;
- To rise up teachers qualification and describe additional qualification demands for ETT training;
- Produce training material as “Picture book” in CD format and lists of indoor and outdoor training material for European tree workers (ETW) and ETT. Summarizing existing, training methods, learning literature, health and security standards Arboriculture of each country.
- Publishing handbook of “European treeworker” in three languages, English, Germany and Latvian.
Project results reflection will be carried out by support of European Arboricultural Council (EAC) and Ērgļu arodvidusskola Web page.
